Jeff Bradshaw

Jeff is the Founder, Owner and currently Executive Director of Camp Wenonah in Muskoka. He spent 33 years as a Summer Camp Director working at various points with each of OCA’s kindred groups including the YMCA (agency); Camp Couchiching (religiously affiliated); Burlington Parks and Recreation (day); Ontario Cystic Fibrosis Camp (special needs) and Wenonah (private).

Jeff has over 35 years experience as a volunteer with the Ontario Camps Association, Canadian Camping Association, and International Camping Fellowship. His volunteer roles include serving on the OCA Board of Directors for six years in the 1990s and again in 2018, being a member of the annual Director’s Conference Committee for 23 years (including 3 years as Conference Chair in the 2000s and Co-Chair for the 2019 Conference), and coordinating seven OCA Skills Weekend. Jeff is the current Co-Chair of the OCA’s Equity & Diversity Committee. He has been a regular standards visitor for 30 years, and has led workshops and seminars on five continents including the Basic Camp Management program here at home.

Jeff is a two-time Past President of the Canadian Camping Association, and has served on the Board of the International Camping Fellowship for 21 years (currently as the Program Chair for the 2017-2020 term). He has also been a member of the Society of Camp Directors for 25 years. Jeff has received the most prestigious award from the OCA, the Dorothy Walter Award of Excellence, as well as the highest honour in Canadian camping, the Ron Johnstone Lifetime Achievement Award.

Of all his accomplishments, Jeff is proudest of his daughters Sydney, Madison and Chelsea.
